Revolver taken in Darien burglary

Darien Police reported that an antique revolver was taken from an Old Kings Highway South home during a burglary Friday, Feb. 8, while the homeowner was at work.

The following items were taken: a Colt black powder revolver valued at $400; a 29-inch flat screen television valued at $400; a Sony digital camera valued at $1,200; a duffle bag; $200 in change; and a bed comforter.

Police said the revolver wasn't loaded and is used by collectors and hobbyists.

The homeowner was at work between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and discovered the burglary when he got home.

Police said the residence was left unlocked while the homeowner was out.
