Darlineda Abelard, 23, of 31 Glasser St., Norwalk, was charged with sixth-degree larceny after turning herself in on a warrant Friday, June 29. Her arrest stems from an incident in which a surveillance video system at Stop & Shop supermarket, at 25 Old Kings Highway North, was reviewed after a pocketbook containing $180 was reported taken on May 27.

According to the police report, this is the second arrest in this case, which includes Stevie Marie Murphy, 25, of 27 Havenmeyer Place, Greenwich, who was arrested by warrant on the same charge on June 24.

Abelard and Murphy were Stop & Shop employees at the time of the incident and their involvement was implicated by the video surveillance system, police said.

Abelard posted a $250 bond and will appear in court July 12.
