Securities expert to discuss reshaping Wall Street

Howard G. Berg, principal of Jackson, Grant Consulting Group, will address "Defining Moments in the Brokerage Industry" at a dinner meeting of the Connecticut chapter of the American Association of Individual Investors at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Waters Edge at Giovanni's II in Darien.
Registration begins at 6 p.m. and dinner is at 7.
Berg, of New Canaan, will highlight key developments that have reshaped the brokerage industry over the past 30 years.
Berg provides litigation support and expert testimony in lawsuits, arbitrations and mediations involving securities disputes. For the past 20 years through Jackson, Grant, he has consulted with attorneys in more than 1,700 cases involving disputes between brokers and their customers. In addition, Berg offers the perspective of a senior Wall Street executive who has managed virtually every brokerage function, from OTC trading and institutional sales to branch administration and risk management.
Berg co-founded the Stamford-based Jackson, Grant Investment Advisers Inc. with financial journalist and money manager Julie Jackson. He has also served as chairman and CEO of Moseley Securities, director of Paine Webber, senior vice president of Shearson Loeb Rhoades and director of several industry associations.
