Darien senior citizens are invited to attend "The Drowsy Chaperone" at Darien High School Wednesday, March 19.

Seniors are being given the opportunity to attend Theatre 308's dress rehearsal performance at 7 p.m. free of charge. Free transportation to and from the high school is available through At Home In Darien.

At Home In Darien has arranged for transportation at approximately 6:30 p.m. using volunteer drivers in conjunction with the organization's professional ones. Seniors can be picked up at their homes and returned safely after the show.

"The Drowsy Chaperone" is set during the jazz age of the 1920s. Full performances of the show take place March 20 to 22.

"We are delighted to offer this opportunity to Darien seniors," Gina Blum, At Home In Darien executive director, said. "It is our hope that seniors who don't drive, don't like to drive at night, or who might miss the show because they do not have someone to go with, will take advantage of this opportunity.

"The evening will be an opportunity for socializing and being brought back in time to stories and music from the jazz age."
