BMW of Darien reported two more cars stolen from its dealership, bringing the total to eight cars valued at more than $500,000.

The original report, made Aug. 23, claimed that six vehicles, five BMW SUVs and one sedan, were stolen from the 140 Ledge Road location. Five of those six cars had been brought in for service, and Darien Police said the owners were contacted about their stolen cars.

After completing an inventory on Aug. 30, BMW of Darien reported the two additional cars, both black 2011 53XIs. Both were owned by the dealership.

Police believe the two vehicles were stolen on Aug. 23 with the other six. According to the report, the building was burglarized and that the suspect or suspects gained access to a gated lot.

BMW of Darien did not return calls for comment.

The Darien Detective Division is investigating the incident and has notified the statewide auto theft task force.
