Stamford delivery driver allegedly left accident scene in Darien

DARIEN — Police arrested a Stamford delivery driver after he struck a car on the job and failed to report it.
On Sept. 9, 2016, Manual Condo-Rocano of Myrtle Avenue hit a car parked in a driveway on West Avenue while delivering a newspaper. Condo-Rocano failed to report the accident or contact police. During an investigation, police found Condo-Rocano knew he hit the car and his license was suspended at the time.
Police were granted an arrest warrant for Condo-Rocano for charges of operating with a suspended license and evading responsibility. On April 2, Stamford police took Condo-Rocano, 39, into custody on the Darien warrant. He was brought to Darien police headquarters and released on a $5,000 bond.
