DARIEN — A Stamford man allegedly threatened to shoot a Darien woman Aug. 6.
Around 8:15 p.m., the victim received a call from Habacuc James Rene, of Scofield Avenue. The Stamford man threatened to shoot the victim. Another person at the home also heard the threat.
Darien police contacted Rene, who initially refused to cooperate with the investigation. He later went to police headquarters but denied calling or threatening the victim. However, police found probable cause that Rene did call and threaten the victim.
Consequently, the 31-year-old charged with first-degree harassment and second-degree threatening. Rene was processed and released on a $25,000 bond. He was given a court date of Aug. 7.
