Mark Carwood, 31, of Stamford was arrested on Dec. 1 on charges of driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle without a license and failure to drive right.
He was charged after he was seen driving a 2011 Audi A4 westbound in the area of West Avenue and Herman Avenue at 12:20 a.m. at what appeared to be a high rate of speed, according to police.
Upon speaking with Carwood, the officer detected an odor of alcoholic beverages on him, said police, and he subsequently failed a field sobriety test, police said.
