Elizabeth Blum, 34, of Stamford was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated on Oct. 23 after she was stopped by police on Noroton Avenue at 3:50 a.m.
According to police, an officer saw her vehicle at a stop sign at Noroton and Elm, but the vehicle did not immediately move from its position. Police said the officer believed the driver may have fallen asleep. The officer activated the patrol unit's overhead lights and the vehicle turned right onto Elm Street and came to astop, according to police.
Police said the officer smelled alcohol emanating from Blum and she subsequently failed sobriety tests. She posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Nov. 2.
