Stamford woman charged with DWI

Elizabeth Malinowski, 27, of 84 Henry St., Stamford, was arrested on Tuesday, April 2, on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
Police said at approximately 1:50 p.m. an officer was approached by a citizen reporting a female possibly in distress sitting in a parked running vehicle in the Jakes' Place parking lot. Upon checking, the officer observed a 2012 Hyundai Sonata, occupied by Malinowski, according to the report. The officer detected a strong odor of alcohol while speaking with her, said police, and she was administered field sobriety tests, which she failed.
She posted $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, April 15.
