DARIEN — A BMW stolen out of Darien was found in Waterbury.

On Sept. 18 around 8:40 a.m., police received a report from a Point O’ Woods Road homeowner that his 2007 green BMW had been stolen from his driveway. His second car, a 2011 gray Lexus SUV, also parked in the driveway, had also been entered. The contents of the Lexus’ glove box were left strewn across the passenger seat. Both cars had been undisturbed the day before around 5:30 p.m.

The homeowner said he thought both cars had been locked, but there were no signs of forced entry on the Lexus. The homeowner checked the Lexus and found nothing had been taken.

Two days later, Waterbury Police reached out to Darien police to tell them they found the BMW in Waterbury.
