An employee of the Darien Toy Box, 1064 Post Road, reported to police that her wallet had been taken on Saturday, Feb. 16.
Police said she discovered the wallet missing when she went into the back room to retrieve it from her pocketbook. She last saw the wallet when she went to make a purchase at 9:30 a.m., police said.
The wallet contained credit cards and approximately $6 in cash. Police said two attempts were made to use one of the cards at the Norwalk Dress Barn store, but the transactions were declined. One of the other cards was used at a Dunkin Donuts in New York City.
