Andrew Bradshaw, 21, of Bronx, N.Y., was arrested on Sunday, Jan. 27, on charges of criminal attempt to larceny in the sixth and interfering with an officer.
At approximately 9:50 p.m., police said, employees of the Stop & Shop supermarket at the Goodwives Shopping Center observed Bradshaw behind the service desk. Police said it is believed that he was attempting to remove cigarettes from a glass case. When employees called out to him, Bradshaw jumped over the counter and ran out of the store with several employees in pursuit, according to the report. Responding officers observed Bradshaw being pursued and wrestled him to the ground when he continued to ignore all orders to stop, said police.
He posted a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Feb. 8.
