DARIEN — A McLaren Road South resident discovered someone entered their unlocked cars and stole two pairs of sunglasses.

On July 28 around 8:45 p.m., a resident on McLaren Road South found a tote bag on their lawn. The tote bag contained items belonging to a neighbor. The resident called police who made contact with the owner of the bag who also lives on McLaren Road South. The bag owner said the bag had been in his car which must have been entered while left in his driveway overnight, unlocked.

A pair of $200 Ray Ban sunglasses were taken from one car and another pair of sunglasses of undetermined value were taken from the second vehicle. Both cars were left unlocked. Neither the victim nor neighbors heard or saw anything suspicious during the time of the theft.
