Superintendent's Citizenship Award recipients

Darien Superintendent Donald Fiftal presented eight students with the Superintendent's Citizenship Award, which was established during the 1976-77 school year for students in grades five through 12 from each town school. The students are chosen for their responsibility, concern for others and dedicated efforts toward their school. Recipients of the 2008-09 award are: Darien High School 12th-graders Reilly Horan and David Hammer; Middlesex Middle School eighth-grader Teddy Romeyn; Hindley fifth-grader Jack Kniffin; Holmes fifth-grader Dominick Wood; Ox Ridge fifth-grader Christian Ostberg; Royle fifth-grader Tyler Grant and Tokeneke fifth-grader Steven Kreuch.
