Tag sale at Silvermine benefits School of Art scholarship fund

The Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan will host the annual Art Materials & Equipment Tag Sale Fundraiser Saturday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Proceeds from the tag sale, which first began in 2007, will benefit the Silvermine Scholarship Fund.
An assortment of treasures can be found at the tag sale, including stretcher bars, paints (oil, acrylics, watercolors and pastels), a wide variety of frames, cameras, enlargers, ceramic supplies, painting and drawing materials, photography, printmaking, jewelry and sculpture supplies and equipment and art books.
Donations are also needed for the tag sale. As artists clean out studios they can donate art-related items to the School of Art. Any used or unused art materials, equipment and art books can be dropped off at the Silvermine Arts Center Auditorium on Wednesday, April 18, and Thursday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. For early drop-offs call the school office.
The School of Art is a community based nonprofit organization that fosters, promotes, and encourages artistic and educational endeavors. To assist students with financial difficulties, Silvermine School of Art has a developing scholarship program based on need and talent.
