Tokeneke School is preparing for the annual Family Bingo Night, which will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 4.

The gym and cafeteria are expected to be filled with families on beach blankets, parents coming from work and fifth-graders running the show. Pizza will be served and included with admission. Sweets will be available for purchase. There will be many games and opportunities to win prizes.

Bingo Night is the event in which fifth-graders host their bake sale to fund their gift to the school when they "graduate" to Middlesex Middle School.

To generate awareness for the event, the fifth-grade students participated in a poster contest for the best publicity. This year's winner was Greta Hoffmeister, whose poster was mounted and laminated and placed at the front door to the school.
