The No. 1 ranked Darien boys cross country team completed its regular season with a trio of wins over Greenwich (16-44), Norwalk (16-45) and Wilton (20-43) to finish with a mark of 17-1. The three wins helped Darien capture its seventh straight FCIAC Eastern Division Championship.
"This was a solid way to finish the season," Darien coach Tyson Kaczmarek said. "I believe we are ready for the postseason. The guys are excited to have done well again this year."
Darien equaled its record of 17-1 from last season. Over the last seven years, the only FCIAC team to defeat Darien in the regular season is Danbury. Over the last 11 years, Darien has gone 171-17.
