Artist Stan Pastore is exhibiting his work at the Town Hall, 2 Renshaw Road, the result of winning Best in Show at the Darien Arts Center’s 2014 Art Show and Sale with his watercolor painting, “Old Yella.”

Pastore’s works at the Darien Town Hall depict local scenes in Darien, Stamford, Norwalk and Rowayton. “I am particularly fond of the four watercolors of the historic barns at Sterling Farms in Stamford. I painted this series of barns over the course of a year from my own photographs and newspaper articles that I researched.”

Pastore, a Norwalk resident, has been honored with numerous awards for his work and won Best in Show at the DAC in 2006. He has received awards at the Carriage Barn in New Canaan and multiple first-place awards at the Rowayton Art Center. He has exhibited artwork at the Greenwich Art Society, the Silvermine Guild, the Darien Library and the Agin Art Gallery on Cape Cod. His work has been featured in private shows at the Whittingham Pavilion at Norwalk Hospital, and at Sterling Glen and Atria in Darien.

All of the pieces in Pastore’s exhibit are available for sale and may be viewed weekdays until July 31st from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
