SBD Kitchens (Sarah Blank Designs) hosted an event for the Darien Arts Center on Saturday, March 9, highlighting Lynne Byrne's nature photography, that was well attended and acted as a prelude to the debut production of "The 39 Steps," produced by DAC Stage, showing at the Weatherstone Studio.

Attendees included many DAC sponsors, donors and members of the board of directors. Also in attendance were Executive Director Amy Allen and Donna Wyant, the director of "The 39 Steps."

Byrne will donate 15 percent of all artwork sales to the DAC. Her show, which will run through April 10, is on view in the showroom of SBD Kitchens, 1472 Post Road, Darien.

SBD Kitchens showed its support of the arts by opening the showroom to support both Byrne and Darien Arts Center Stage. The newly formed community theater department is the culmination of months of reorganizing and will encompass a mission to bring excellence in entertainment through plays, musicals, cabarets and special events to the community.

Performances of "The 39 Steps" take place at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23. Tickets can be purchased at arts.darien.org or by calling 203-655-5414.
