Ana Foster and Ben Carpenter were the headmistress and headmaster for the day at Pear Tree Point School.

The chance to run their school became a reality after their parents' winning bids at last year's Bingo Night fundraiser.

The students' responsibilities included passing out newly minted business cards, helping with arrivals and dismissals, visiting classrooms, acting as assistant laboratory instructors and declaring Friday, Oct. 19, a sports free dress day.

A highlight of their tenure was hosting four friends in "their" office for a pizza lunch.

"It was the best school day ever," said Carpenter.
