DARIEN — Credit cards and cash were taken from an unlocked car parked overnight on Hoyt Street.
A 48-year-old Darien woman told police she left her white 2015 BMW unlocked and her purse in the front seat when she parked in front of her Hoyt Street home around 10 p.m. on March 1. The following morning around 7:30 a.m., she found $40 in cash, four bank cards, four stores credit cards and a debit card were taken from her wallet.
The suspect left behind the woman’s wallet, as well as other items of value in the purse. Police said no other car burglaries occurred in the neighborhood that night but are continuing to investigate the incident.
