Visiting Nurses offers bereavement support for pet loss

New Canaan's Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County will offer a three week bereavement support group this spring to help adults cope with loss following the death of a beloved pet.
The bereavement support group for those who have lost a pet will meet Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. beginning April 25 and will continue through May 9. There is no fee for participation. Participants in this group will be offered a safe place to express their feelings of loss.
Kristin Carpenter, LCSW, will facilitate the loss of a pet support group. She is a grief and bereavement counselor at Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County.

The bereavement support group for those who have lost a pet will be held at the offices of Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County in Suite 114 at the Health and Wellness Center at I-Park.
