A 2005 Saturn Ion was reported broken into at the Darien Metro-North Railroad Station parking lot last Saturday.

The police report said the vehicle was parked in the lot about 5:30 p.m. last Friday. About two hours later, a taxi driver noticed that the driver-side rear window of the vehicle was smashed by a chunk of concrete.

An iPod Nano and a North Face backpack containing gym clothes and a pair of running sneakers were taken from the vehicle, according to the report. The total value of the stolen items is $220.
