Woman charged with DWI

Kristen Becker, 34, of Fairfield, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to drive right and operating her vehicle without a license on Friday, May 11.

According to the report, Becker was traveling northbound on Hoyt Street at 12:01 a.m. when an officer spotted her vehicle, a 2011 Nissan Sentra, cross the center line on two separate occasions.

When the officer pulled her over, he said he detected the smell of alcohol. He administered a field sobriety tests, which police said she failed.

Becker posted a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court May 23.
