Wreaths Across America wreath sponsorships will be sold at $15 each here Saturday.

The sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in front of the Goodwives Stop & Shop.

Organizers say this is the last chance to purchase sponsorships for Darien's Spring Grove Veterans Cemetery, where a special location code is required in order for the wreaths to be correctly allocated for Darien.

The public is encouraged to purchase sponsorships and attend the wreath dedication ceremony to be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 13.

This year, members of Darien's Monuments and Ceremonies Commission, under direction of Terry Gaffney, the group's treasurer, organized the wreath collection.

Monuments and Ceremonies joined with several Darien civic groups, including Good Wife's River DAR Chapter, the Masonic Club of Darien and Ivanhoe Masonic Lodge 107, AF & AM; Darien VFW Post 6933, DHS Support Our Soldiers group; Darien Youth Hockey teams and Darien Boy Scouts, to collect wreath sponsorships. Many Darien businesses also donated.

Spring Grove Veterans Cemetery is one of three designated veterans cemeteries in the state of Connecticut. Other veterans cemeteries are at Rocky Hill and Middletown
