YWCA Parent Awareness, which provides support and education to parents and children to encourage the healthy, positive development of youth and families, will present “Organizing Your Child for a Successful School Year” at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 22 at First Congregational Church, 14 Brookside Road, Darien.
Professional organizer Seana Turner will share ideas on how parents can help their children be efficient and successful during the school year. The talk is targeted to parents of children ages 4 through 11, and topics will include setting up a homework station, backpack management, implementing staging areas, using planners and managing time.
Turner is founder of The Seana Method, a company that provides solutions for managing time, space and belongings. Her goal is to provide “freedom through organization.” Seana is a Darien resident and has two daughters who attended town schools.
