iPad 3 Sweepstakes promoted by First County Bank

First County Bank has launched its 2012 iPad 3 Sweepstakes, a social media-based promotion that combines a chance to win an Apple iPad 3 through Facebook and Twitter.

"Last spring, our Amazon Kindle campaign was such a success we wanted to continue the fun," Karen Kelly, the bank's chief marketing officer, said in a statement.

The sweepstakes ends at 9 a.m. Oct. 31, and is promoted on the bank's website -- www.firstcountybank.com -- as well as on in-branch flyers and social-media sites.

"Social media is a positive way we can connect with customers and the public so they can learn about community events, activities, bank and foundation news," said Kelly. "Our Facebook page is a showcase of how the bank, as well as other local organizations, individuals and small businesses give back and help Fairfield County thrive."

First County Bank, headquartered in Stamford, is an independent mutual community bank with 15 branches, including offices in New Canaan and Darien.
