On Saturday, March 1, 50 Boy Scouts from Troop 53 in Darien fanned out to three shopping locations and dedicated several service hours to collecting food for the Person-to-Person Food Pantry. According to Pat Cage, the in-kind Manager of Person-To-Person, the record amount of food items collected by the scouts and adult volunteers will feed 50 families for a week. Shown here is the group of scouts stationed at Stop & Shop in Noroton Heights. Other volunteers were stationed at Palmerís Market and the Good Wives Shopping Center.
