Soon after news broke of a mass shooting that would turnout to be the deadliest in Texas history, sorrowful images began to emerge of a town in pain and of law enforcement desperately seeking to piece together what happened.

Reporters and photographers from the San Antonio Express-News, the Associated Press and other news outlets began filing stories and photos to keep the public informed while telling the story of how a 26-year-old man from a northern San Antonio suburb allegedly took a rifle and committed such horrible actions.
