The Darien Nature Center announces a new program for pre-schoolers: Leap ën Lizards. The Darien Nature Center invites pre-schoolers to join the fun new music and movement class for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds. Starting on Feb. 27 on Monday and Thursday mornings, from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m., the program will run through June 8. In this ìanimals in motionî inspired class, the children will dance, sing, slither and hop and rock and roll until they drop. Visits with the animals and trail walks are all part of the fun. Darien police officer TJ Garbera recently spoke to the Darien Kiwanis Club on flag etiquette. Garbera served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school. The Darien Kiwanis Club meets each Tuesday for lunch at the Country Club of Darien, and the first Wednesday of each month at Chuckís Steak House for dinner.
