ABC thanks DT&CF
for computer funds
To the Editor:
On behalf of the board of directors and the scholars of A Better Chance in Darien, we would like to extend our gratitude to the Darien Technology and Community Foundation for granting us the funds to buy all new computer equipment for the ABC house.
The new equipment, recently installed in the computer room at the house, will ensure that our scholars have the proper tools to help them through their four years at Darien High School. We are tremendously grateful for the DT&CF's generous gift.
A Better Chance in Darien is a not-for-profit organization that provides four-year academic and boarding scholarships to academically promising women of color from under-served environments who are seeking a higher bar in terms of educational expectations and a broadening life experience.
Currently, six scholars are living in Darien, attending Darien High School and concurrently enriching the lives of the students, adults and families that they come into contact with in the course of their four years in Darien.
