SFH Executive Director Rafael Pagan Jr. says that the primary focus of the agency's grant requests has always been to fund programs and services that allow SFH to both serve and advocate for those who are homeless in the area; and this remains an important goal.

With SFH working to address the issue of homelessness -- through the emergency shelter at Pacific House, recovery program, employment program and other initiatives -- and continuing to develop new units of affordable housing for those who are homeless, Pagan notes that individuals, organizations and businesses need to be able to easily access information about our programs.

According to Pagan, the ultimate benefits of this grant are those that will accrue to the Shelter's clients and people who are homeless in the area.

Shelter for the Homeless provides four cornerstones of client service: emergency shelter, health and recovery services, job and life skills training and transitional and long-term housing.

Stationed at a remote Alaskan refinery, where crude oil is prepared for commercial use, he's sharpshooter, protecting workers from roaming predators, like wolves.

The subsidiary characters played by Dermot Mulroney, Frank Grillo, James Badge Dale, Joe Anderson, Nonso Anozie and Dallas Roberts aren't given much of a backstory, so the emotional drama pivots around the Alpha actor, courageous Ottway, and his fond recollections of his estranged wife (Annie Openshaw) and his Irish father, whose poem becomes his mantra: Once more into the fray.

While writer/director Joe Carnahan and co-scripter Ian Mackenzie Jeffers, who wrote the short story "Ghost Walker," obviously did extensive research on lupine lore, biologist Maggie Howell, managing director of the Wolf Conservation Center in Westchester County, claims, "Wolves don't hunt humans -- they actually shy away from them...It's not anything new for wolves to be portrayed as the bad guy in fairy tales and we don't take it seriously because it's fantasy, but this movie is supposed to be real."

White beans beat out animal protein when it comes to being high in fiber and very low in fat.

Whiz up in the food processor with olive oil, garlic & parsley for a sandwich spread.

Toss with sauteed onions and garlic, season with a little white vinegar and hot sauce and make a burrito with a high-fiber wrap and a slice of cheese.

Try the Healthy Grain Instant Original version which is high in protein, fiber, iron and calcium.

[...] its flavor packs a punch! I like horseradish on sandwiches, tossed with roasted Brussels sprouts or scrambled eggs.
