Two teenagers were charged Friday after both were found in possession of alcohol and one had marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Police stopped a car driven by Mackenzie J. Williams, 18, of 5 Hickory Lane, Darien, early Friday after she failed to use a turn signal while turning onto Hilltop Road, police said.

Michael A. Colandro, of 66 Hoyclo Road, Stamford, 19 and thus underage, then tried to empty a bottle of vodka at his feet in the back seat, police said.

Police found that Williams had marijuana, smoking bowls, black plastic glassine bags used to package marijuana and a digital scale inside a black purse, police said. In the center console of the car there were also rolling papers and a large mason jar that smelled of marijuana, police said.

Police found a grinder with marijuana remnants inside the glove box and a smoking pipe in the front passenger door map pocket, police said.

In addition, after the car stopped in a private driveway, police saw items being thrown from inside, later finding a 6-inch green water bong and a 12-ounce bottle of Twisted Ice Tea, an alcoholic beverage.

Williams admitted she threw the iced tea bottle out of the window to avoid getting caught with it, and also admitted she told a passenger to throw the bong into the bushes, police said.

Williams was charged with illegal manufacture, distribution or sale, illegal possession of marijuana, six counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a minor and failure to signal. Her bond was set at $480 bond she scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford on Friday.

Colandro was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor. His bond was set at $136 bond and he is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford June 29.
