BRIDGEPORT — Some would say you can’t put a price on peace, love and understanding.

The city has calculated the bill at $772,725.

That is the total amount from three invoices sent this week to Ken Hays, organizer of the Grateful Dead-inspired Gathering of the Vibes summer weekend music festival. Specifically, the sum is what Mayor Joe Ganim’s administration claims the Vibes, per its contract, was supposed to pay the city for police overtime associated with the 2013, 2014 and 2015 events.

The invoices are the latest effort to collect on the debt since Team Ganim first discovered it after taking office on Dec. 1.
