Gymnasts from the Darien YMCA house team successfully launched their 2014-2015 season with winning results at the Trumbull YMCA Harvest Invitational meet.

Leading the team were Sarah Petti, who swept the Level 6 Senior age group titles, placing first on all four events and All-Around(AA), and Kajsa Lundeen, who won the AA and vault titles in the Level 7 Senior age group, as well as placing second on floor and third on beam.

In the Level 3 competition, Ali Kolman placed second on vault with a 9.0, and third on bars, floor and AA in the 6-8 age group. Anna Primmer earned fourth on floor, fifth on bars and vault and second on beam and AA with a sensational 35.90 in the 9 years group, while Treasa Brown earned third on floor, sixth on beam and second on bars and AA in the 10 year old group. The trio combined to earn the third place team trophy for Level 3.

Devan Grills led the Level 4 squad, placing fourth on vault and beam and third on bars, floor (9.2) and AA in the 8-9 age group. Katelyn Secor placed ninth on floor in the 10-11 group. In the 12+ age group, Sofia Fea was fourth on vault and fifth on bars, floor and AA, while Tetyana Banaryk was fifth on vault and second on beam, scoring a 9.4.

Competing at Level 5, Lindsay Wallach and Kerry McDermott tied for third on vault, each scoring 9.1. Wallach also placed third on bars and fourth on floor and AA. McDermott followed at fourth on bars and 6th AA. Also representing Darien with Petti at Level 6, Allie Trotman won the vault title with a 9.3 and placed second on bars in the 12-14 age group.

All of the gymnasts earned qualifying AA scores for the Connecticut YMCA Southern Leagues and State Championship meets in the spring.
