FontComing off an 8-2 season, the Darien football team played its annual Blue-White game on Sunday. Darien's top returning player is defensive back/slot back Peter Gesualdi, a Hearst Connecticut Newspapers All-Star last season. Gesualdi was second in the state with eight interceptions in 2011. As running back/receiver, Gesualdi caught 24 passes for 455 yards and seven touchdowns. The Blue Wave open their season on Sept. 14 at Ludlowe in Fairfield.
