The Nation's Weather for Sunday, December 3, 2017

A large portion of the nation can expect some sunshine and

rain- and snow-free weather today. A weak storm is forecast

to bring clouds and spotty showers to the southeastern

corner. As a weak storm drops out of Ontario, snow showers

are forecast to dust parts of the Upper Midwest. The most

significant feature on the map this day will be a storm

approaching the Northwest coast. While this storm will not

be especially strong, it will spread areas of rain and

mountain snow from Northern California to Oregon, Idaho,

Washington and western Montana. Snow and slippery travel

conditions are likely over the passes, but generally north

of Donner Pass in Northern California. A change to much

colder weather is forecast to progress across the Central

and Eastern states next week.
