Michelle Sandlin is an award-winning writer, journalist and relocation industry expert. Her work is frequently featured in Worldwide ERC's Mobility magazine, and in various business and industry related publications and corporate blogs. She served on the Board of Houston Relocation Professionals for six years, and was president of the organization in 2014.
Michelle is the author of the weekly “On the Move” columns, which focus on a variety of topics related to the Houston real estate market, the local economy, workforce mobility issues and trends, and assistance and advice for newcomers to the Houston area. Her columns are published every Sunday in the Real Estate Section of the Houston Chronicle, and are available 24/7 at www.chron.com.
As a leader within the relocation industry, Michelle has been recognized many times for her achievements. In 2016, Worldwide ERC presented Michelle with a Mobility Editorial Achievement Award, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the professionalism of the global workforce mobility industry for her article: “All for one: the case for collaboration in global she was the recipient of the Mobility.” She also received a Distinguished Service Award in 2016, and a Meritorious Service Award in 2012. Both were presented in recognition of her dedicated service and significant professional contributions to Worldwide ERC and the global workforce mobility business community.
Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, Michelle has been calling Houston home for more than 31 years. She studied Journalism at LSU, and later earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from the University of Houston.
