Story Pirates’ ‘Stuck in the Stone Age Tour’ brings interactive kids’ comedy to Stamford’s Palace Theatre
Kids get to contribute their own ideas in the Story Pirates’ newest interactive comedy, at the Palace Theatre in Stamford, on Sunday, March 25.
In this show, scientists Tom Edison (no relation to that Thomas Edison) and Dr. Marissa Morice return home from a wild adventure in the Stone Age, only to discover their time machine has made an unexpected detour. They wind up on a stage in front of a huge audience that’s expecting a show; the problem is they’re just scientists, not actors.
So what should they do, and what will it take to get them back home? The two soon learn that to fix their machine they’ll need the help and creativity of kids in the audience. Throughout the show, audience members learn about the building blocks of a good story, including how to create characters and give them interesting problems to solve.
Story Pirates is an arts education organization based in New York City and Los Angeles. The March 25 presentation is recommended for ages 3 and up, and is part of “The Stuck in the Stone Age Tour.”
