“Dance, Dance, Dance” the night away “with your sweetheart” is the theme of a Valentine’s Day Gala at Ridgefield Playhouse that features the First Ladies of Disco.

Entertaining at the event, which begins with at 6:30 p.m. with champagne, chocolate and dessert, will The Weather Girls’ Martha Wash (“It’s Raining Men,” “Everybody, Everybody”), Linda Clifford (“If My Friends Could See Me Now”) and Norma Jean Wright of Chic (“Le Freak,” “Good Times”).

This will be the first time that “these three incredible vocalists, who have enjoyed success on the pop, R&B and dance charts, are joining forces,” the playhouse announced on its web site.

The gala is a benefit for the nonprofit playhouse’s The Arts for Everyone program, which “helps make the performing arts available to economically disadvantaged residents of Fairfield County who cannot afford the cost of admission, even at reduced rates. Arts for Everyone works with a wide range of nonprofit organizations including ABC, Ability Beyond Disability, Danbury Youth Services, Family and Children’s Aid, Grassroots Tennis, Mental Health Associates of CT and the Out and About Club. This program helps provide tickets and transportation to the playhouse.

“Guests will be able to enter raffles for a chance to win a beautiful piece of jewelry; a ‘me time’ package that includes a $750 gift certificate courtesy of Adam Broderick Salon & Spa; a date night that includes dinner for two, tickets to a show, and a night out with a BMW and personal driver (courtesy of BMW of Ridgefield),” the theater announced. A live auction will begin at 8 p.m. ,followed by a performance by the First Ladies of Disco.
