TORRINGTON — The Warner Theatre’s Met Opera Live in HD Season continues in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 12:55 p.m.

A complimentary 45 minute pre-opera lecture by Jeffrey Engel will be offered in the Studio Lobby at 10:30 a.m.

Sir David McVicar’s ravishing new production of “Tosca” offers a splendid backdrop for extraordinary soprano, Sonya Yoncheva, to play the title role of the jealous prima donna.

Vittorio Grigolo stars as Tosca’s revolutionary artist lover Cavaradossi, with Željko Lučić as the depraved police chief Scarpia. Music Director Emmanuel Villaume conducts.
