Comedic magic and audience participation are what it’s all about when Pete Paliuli and his real-life brother, Chris Paliuli, bring their high-energy show to The Palace Theatre in Stamford on Sunday, Feb. 4.

Performing as Presto Pete & Incredulous Chris, the traveling magicians wow audiences with their illusions while getting laughs with their slapstick antics. Yes, they love and are inspired by The Three Stooges and Charlie Chaplin.

The idea behind the production is this: Incredulous Chris no longer believes in magic, so it’s up to Presto Pete and the audience to convince him otherwise.

Sibling rivalry is at its wackiest when the Paliuli brothers get going on stage. Their hourlong show will conclude with a special activity in which everyone gets to participate.

Both performers have extensive backgrounds in community theater. They have entertained at children’s festivals and in theaters and other venues throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.

The Palace Theatre, 61 Atlantic St., Stamford. Sunday, Feb. 4, 3 p.m. $12.50. 203-325-4466
