Pop-up market for Valentine’s Day gifting in Wilton

WILTON — Looking for something delightful and unexpected for that special someone on Valentine’s Day? Stop by the Wilton Historical Society from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10 and find just the right cards and thoughtful treats you are looking for.
Known for locally made, beautifully crafted items, the Betts Store presents a select group of area artisans and their wares for one day only. The one day pop-up market features Imaginariums by Elissa, Sabina Furst Designs jewelry, Saltbox Press cards and notes, and Nod Hill Soaps. The Society’s Betts Store Museum Shop has a new shipment of candy, felted soaps, candles, and other gift items including puzzles, books, toys scarves, note cards, and home accessories, ready for Valentine’s Day.
In addition, both kids and adults can make hand-made molded chocolates. For kids in grades K-8, the session runs from 11 a.m. to noon. Program participants will make something extra nice for their valentine — delicious, professional-looking chocolates and a decorated box to put them in! The one-hour session will make use of an extensive collection of chocolate molds. Registration is required and space is limited. For adults, it’s Sweets for Sweethearts from 3-4: Beautiful candies will be made from high quality artisanal chocolate which yields delicious treats. Delectable toppings and mix-ins such as pink Himalayan Sea Salt and lavender are included, and a variety of mold shapes, such as hearts and flowers, will be used. Materials provided to make a decorative bag for giving your sweetheart their valentine. A lovely hand-made sweet for your sweetheart! Prosecco and other beverages will be served.
