Darien forecast: A sunny & warm day

The work week starts on a bright note in southwestern Connecticut, with sunny skies and temperatures rising to a daytime high of about 80 degrees.
In addition to clear skies, the National Weather Service there will be a light and variable south wind 6 to 11 mph.
Tonight, however, there is a 30 percent of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9 p.m., the NWS says. Skies are expected to turn mostly cloudy as the temperature dips to a low of about 60 degrees.
Tomorrow, afternoon showers and thunderstorms are again possible the NWS says. Otherwise, skies will be partly sunny, with a high near 80 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
There remains a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight tomorrow night the temperature registers a low in the upper-50s.
On Wednesday, skies should be mostly sunny with a high temperature in the mid-70s. Nighttime will be clear, with a low temperature in the low-50s.
Thursday also will be sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-70s. Skies at night remain mostly clear, with a low temperature in the upper-50s.
The outlook for Friday, according to the weather, is sunny and temperatures in the 70s.
