Darien forecast: Calendar says February, temps say May
Light rain is possible this cloudy first day of February, but temperatures again will be far from wintry, according to the National Weather Service.
After the early threat of scattered precipitation, skies will clear across southwestern Connecticut as the daytime high temperature rises to nearly 60 degrees, the NWS says. Conditions will be breezy as well, with a west wind between 7 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Tonight will be mostly clear, with the temperature dropping to a low in the mid-30s. The wind will calm to between 3 and 8 mph from the west.
Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy, with a high in the upper-40s. Clouds are expected to clear out tomorrow night, with a low temperature about 30 degrees.
Friday is expected to be sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-40s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy with a low temperature in the upper-30s.
On Saturday, the weather service predicts, skies will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-40s.
