Darien forecast: Cloudy, rainy, breezy

Another rainy day is in store for southwestern Connecticut, with brisk winds buffeting gray rain clouds across the region most of the day.
The National Weather Service says, that in addition to the periodic threat of showers and possible thunderstorms most of the day, the daytime high temperature will rise to the low-70s. There will be a south wind 6 to 10 mph, becoming west in the morning and gusting as high as 20 mph. Odds of daytime precipitation are about 50 percent.
Tonight, there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 p.m., the NWS says, as skies remain cloudy and the temperature dips to a low of about 60 degrees. Chance of nighttime precipitation is 20 percent.
Tomorrow, however, things look brighter as skies clear and the temperature rises to a high in the mid-70s. It will continue to be breezy, with a northwest wind 13 to 15 mph, gusting as high as 31 mph. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a light chance of showers after midnight, as the temperature dips to a low in the upper-50s.
On Thursday, there is 50 percent of showers. Otherwise, skies are expected to be partly sunny, with a high temperature of about 70 degrees. Showers are also possible overnight as the temperature registers a low in the mid-50s.
Friday will be partly sunny, with a high temperature about 70 degrees, but there is a 30 percent chance of showers, the NWS says. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-50s.
The outlook for Saturday, according to the weather service, is sunny and temperatures in the 70s.
