In this year's slow arc toward spring-like weather, today's temperature is expected to crest in the balmy mid-50s, according to the National Weather Service.

Skies across southwestern Connecticut should be mostly sunny, with a northwest wind 6 to 11 mph.

Tonight, however, some clouds move in as the temperature dips to a low in the low-30s. There will be a northwest wind 6 to 8 mph.

Tomorrow will be sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-50s, and a northwest wind 8 to 10 mph. Nighttime will be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the low-30s.

On Easter Sunday, rain is expected in the afternoon, mainly after 4 p.m., the NWS says. Otherwise, skies should be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-50s. Chance of afternoon precipitation is about 60 percent.

Rain is also likely Sunday night, mainly before 9 p.m., under mostly cloudy skies. The low temperature will be about 40 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

The outlook for Monday, according to the weather service, is partly sunny and temperatures in the 50s.
