Darien forecast: Late-summer sun shines

Another sunny, warm day in a week-long streak of pleasant late-summer weather is in store today for southwestern Connecticut.
The National Weather Service says that, in addition to clear skies, the daytime high temperature will rise to the mid-70s with a west wind 3 to 8 mph.
Tonight should be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the low-50s.
Tomorrow also will be sunny, with a high temperature near 80 degrees. Nighttime will be clear with a low temperature in the upper-50s.
On Thursday, sunny skies will prevail again and the temperature will be about 80 degrees. Thursday night will be clear with a low temperature about 60 degrees, the NWS says.
Friday promises more of the same, with sun and temperature rising to about 80 degrees. Night will be partly cloudy with a low temperature in the low-60s.
The outlook for Saturday, according to the weather service, is mostly sunny and temperatures rising to the upper-70s.
