Nicer weather is expected to spring back to southwestern Connecticut today, with the sunny skies and warmer temperatures than the last few days.

The National Weather Service says the daytime high temperature will rise to the upper-60s under bright skies, with a light and variable south wind 6 to 11 mph.

There is a 40 percent chance of showers tonight, the NWS says, mainly between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. The overnight low will be in the mid-40s, with a south wind 10 to 13 mph becoming west after midnight.

Tomorrow should be sunny, with temperatures in the mid-60s and a northwest wind 9 to 11 mph. Nighttime will be mostly clear, with a low temperature about 40 degrees.

On Friday, skies should be cloudy again and temperatures will register a high in the mid-60s. Night skies will be clear and the low temperature will be in the low-40s.

Saturday also will be mostly sunny, and like the preceding days, the high temperature will be in the mid-60s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy with a low temperature in the mid-40s.

Sunday should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-60s. The low temperature overnight will be in the mid-40s under partly cloud skies.

The outlook for Monday, according to the weather service, will be sunny and temperatures in the 60s.
